YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday attended the official opening of the Bishops’ Assembly of the Armenian Apostolic Church.  

The opening ceremony was held at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and it was chaired by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, and Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia.   

Sargsyan addressed the event, greeted all bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church in attendance, and expressed a hope that the assembly will be convened on a regular basis, and with the same spirit of unity and for the glory of the faithful Armenian nation, informs the Press Office of the President.      

In addition, Serzh Sargsyan wished success and productive work to the assembly participants.
