After turning to the Customs Union, Armenia and EU will cooperate in areas such as education, science and culture, Lithuanian Minister said.

Lithuanian Minister of Education and Science Dainius Pavalkis participated in the “Enhancement of European International Cooperation and Eastern Partnership in research, development and innovation” conference that was held in Vilnius this week.

“We acknowledge that Armenia’s relations with the European Union will be maintained through education, science and probably culture, as other types of co-operation will probably be impossible, therefore, this will remain the main connecting thread,” DELFI quotes the Minister.

After the event, Pavalkis assured that cooperation with the countries will be continued in these fields.

“We will cooperate with Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in the framework of Horizon 2020 and Erasmus Plus,” the Minister told reporters.

In his words, the conference resulted in the so-called Vilnius declaration, which envisaged EU cooperation with Eastern partners in the domains, DELFI reported.
