As a result of several armed conflicts, there are approximately 20,000 missing persons in Europe today.

Naira Zohrabyan, non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly Faction Secretary and member of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), stated the aforesaid while addressing the PACE fall session in Strasbourg, France

In her words, the families of the missing persons have the right to be informed about the fate of their loved ones.

“And, now, we have heard how the Azerbaijani delegate misrepresented the facts yet again and the Azerbaijani lie and a fraud were voiced once again.

“In the report by our colleague Jim Sheridan, he noted that cooperation and exchange of information also with the de facto authorities is very important in finding the missing persons. This was our proposal, and I thank him for accepting our proposal and including it in the report.

“The objective of us all should be one: to do what is possible to find the missing persons,” Zohrabyan specifically stated.

In her words, “The solution of the matter of the missing persons is of vital importance for the establishment of peace in the European continent.”
