STEPANAKERT. – During his visit to Lyon, President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan laid wreath at the monument commemorating the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Bako Sahakyan then visited the National Center of the Armenian memory in the town of Decines.

The President highlighted importance of such monuments and institutions in the Diaspora both from the viewpoint of maintaining historic memory of our people and presenting the truth to the international community.

NKR Vice Premier Arthur Aghabekyan, NKR FM Karen Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, Consul General of Armenia in Lyon Nikolay Sarkisov, NKR permanent representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan and other officials participated in the events.
