YEREVAN. –Chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab on Friday participated in the opening of new Kaspersky Lab Training and Certification Center at the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA).

“The number of cyber threats is constantly growing, so it is especially important to train more experts who can combat them. Many experts are needed to make state and commercial information systems more secure. Experts on commuter security will be in demand and will have a good salary,” Eugene Kaspersky told students in Yerevan.

Veniamin Ginodman, Head of Educational Programs at Kaspersky Lab, said the center opened at SEUA is one of the first of such centers opening in CIS states.

“We chose Armenia because my department has been working with the Department of Computer Science at SEUA for six years. Together with Professor Gevorg Markarov we followed the progress of his students who are trying to create something of their own. So the relationship developed gradually,” he told the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.
