TBILISI. – Ruling Georgian Dream coalition candidate Giorgi Margvelashvili is declared the winner of Sunday’s presidential elections in Georgia.
After the counting of the 99.68 percent of the ballots that were cast, Margvelashvili received 62.12 percent of the votes.
Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) Press Secretary Eka Azarashvili informed that the aforesaid are final data and nothing will change.
Giorgi Margvelashvili’s main challengers, Davit Bakradze and Nino Burjanadze, have received 21.72 and 10.18 percent of the votes, correspondingly.
The voter turnout was 46.91 percent.
