Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yet again connected Turkey’s normalization of relations with Armenia to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The FM stated that Turkey demands from Armenia to “leave the occupied Azerbaijani territories,” Aksam daily of Turkey writes.

“Our demand is the vacating of Nagorno-Karabakh; we expect a progress in this matter,” Davutoglu said in response to a Turkish MP’s question in connection to opening Turkey’s borders with Armenia.

In the FM’s words, “There may be a word of Armenian-Turkish rapprochement solely after vacating the Azerbaijani territories.”
