YEREVAN. – The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) contacts its colleagues in the Philippines every day to ascertain whether there are Armenian citizens and Armenians in the list of the casualties and injuries caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

The MES Crisis Management Center contacted the Philippines’ National Disaster Coordinating Council, to obtain information on Armenian citizens and Armenians that might have been affected by the major natural disaster that hit the Philippines in recent days.   

And according to the information obtained, as of Thursday at 12pm, there are no Armenian citizens and Armenians in the list of the casualties and injuries caused by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Separately, Armenian Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan extended his condolences to the people of the Philippines over this great natural disaster.
