YEREVAN. – The information transparency coefficient of Armenia’s state agencies has increased and a progress is registered in this domain.

The Committee for the Protection of Freedom of Speech (CPFS) Chairman Ashot Melikyan noted the above-said at a press conference on Friday.

Melikyan presented the results of their monitoring of the official websites of 51 Armenian state-run agencies.

“In terms of access to information, the website of the Armenian State Migration Service is in first place; second is [that of] the Territorial [Administration] Ministry; [and that of] the Ministry of Justice.

“[But] the [websites of the] Ministry of Culture, the National Commission on Television and Radio, and the State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee occupy the last three places from a total of 34 websites.

“There is great progress in the Ministry of Emergency Situations website,” the CPFS chief stated, in particular.
