YEREVAN. – The issue of integration prospects in post-Soviet area to some extent is being solved in Ukraine, head of Armenian NGO said.

Aram Safaryan, head of Armenia-based Integration and Development NGO, recalls that 2 million of Ukrainians cross the border with Russia every day, work there and come back in the evening.

“If Ukraine follows the way of European integration and creates artificial obstacles, the issue of visa regime with Russia will come up. What will happen to these people? I think that Ukrainian government suspended European integration process taking into account this fact,” Safaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On November 21, Ukrainian government ordered to freeze the process of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU. This was followed by mass protests in Kyiv.
