YEREVAN. – Armenia’s public services regulatory commission on Wednesday confirmed deal on selling Vorotan cascade of hydro power plants to American Contour Global.
According to the decision, all three hydroelectric power plants on the Vorotan River will be sold to Armenian company. Contour Global Hydrocascade will manage the company.
A $180-million deal is the largest U.S. private investment in Armenia’s history and the first U.S. investment in Armenia’s critical energy sector.
