The Armenian producers’ adoption of the Customs Union (CU) standards may require a transition period. 

First Deputy Economy Minister Karine Minasyan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

In response to the query as to the fate of the Armenian standards that will be harmonized with European standards, Minasyan explained that the CU likewise is moving in the direction of international standards. 

“That is why we have not yet seen a very substantial difference in principle. [But] there are differences in the procedural matters. And here we are discussing the possibilities of transitional situations,” Minasyan informed.
