YEREVAN. – Rosneft has given a preliminary agreement to implement project on Nairit chemical plant, Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan told reporters.

Two Italian companies Pirelli and Stirol are interested in the project, he added.

“All technical and economic as well as ecological aspects have been studied, but there are still questions regarding financial matters. They are being discussed,” the Minisetr assured.

Armen Movsisyan found it difficult to name the exact amount of the debt to Eurasian Development Bank.

“We are discussing what to do with the debts,” Movsisysan said, adding that after that they will decide on the wages that employees have not received.

Armenian chemical giant Nairit stopped operations for an uncertain period in April 2010.
