YEREVAN. – Sanir Company of Iran will receive tax benefits in Armenia to build an electricity transmission line between the two countries.  

The respective decision was made at Thursday’s Armenian Cabinet meeting.

The Export Development Bank of Iran will fund the construction.

At present, two electricity transmission lines operate between Armenia and Iran. The third line will ensure a full-capacity electricity transmission from Armenia to Iran in return for the Iranian natural gas, which is imported to Yerevan Thermal Power Plant.
