ETCHMIADZIN. – Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Monday received Sorin Vasile, Romania’s new Ambassador to Armenia.   

Conveying his blessings and best wishes to the newly-appointed ambassador, the Catholicos reflected on relations between the two countries and peoples. He noted that the Romanian ambassador will contribute to making these relations become more productive. Karekin II also stressed the Romanian-Armenian community’s important role in the strengthening of these ties.  

At the ensuing talk the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Romanian ambassador spoke about relations between the Armenian Apostolic and the Romanian Orthodox Churches and underscored the Church’s role in peoples’ lives.  

At the end of the meeting Karekin II wished that God would bless the friendship between the Armenian and the Romanian peoples.
