YEREVAN. – Along the lines of the criminal case that is opened on the death of Armenian soldier Vanichka Hovakimyan and on charges of causing suicide, Hovakimyan’s fellow serviceman has been detained.
The sources close to the MOD have informed the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
We have learned that the said military serviceman will be arrested.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the dead body of conscript, Private Vanichka Hovakimyan was found, on Tuesday at around 6:10pm, in the area of a military unit of the Armenian MOD. Hovakimyan’s body was found with a gunshot wound in the lower jaw. The MOD Investigation Service opened a criminal case on the incident, and an investigation is underway. But there are no arrests yet along the lines of the case.
