Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu congratulated Armenia for their successful Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

The remarks of Davutoglu made during the Yerevan-hosted BSEC council of the foreign ministers were posted on the official website of Turkish foreign office.

Turkish FM also congratulated his Armenian counterpart for hospitality.

“I would like to reiterate my sincere congratulations and appreciation to the Republic of Armenia for their successful Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC and for the excellent organization of this meeting,” he said.

Davutoglu noted that BSEC has a key role to play in building bridges between Europe and Asia that spur economic dynamism in Eurasia.

“At the same time, BSEC is an invaluable tool for connecting the Balkans and Caucasus by vital transport and trade projects to transform the Black Sea region into an area of peace, stability and prosperity,” he noted.
