During his visit to Athens, Turkey FM Ahmet Davutoglu encountered a protest by a group of Armenians.

In the Greek capital city, Davutoglu paid a visit to the Gokceada [Island in Turkey; Imbros Island, in Greek] Association of Greeks, reports Beyazgundem website of Turkey.

During the visit, however, a group of Armenians, holding the national flag of Armenia and chanting slogans against Turkey, staged a protest.

The Armenians, who had gathered near the Association building, whistled at Davutoglu once he entered and left the building, and they stood in front of the building entrance throughout his visit to the association.

Upon the Turkish FM’s departure from the building, a large number of police officers arrived to ensure his safety and escorted him out of the building.
