ETCHMIADZIN. – The situation in Syria and the severe conditions under which the Syrian Armenians are living continue to be at the focus of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.   

By way of the Mother See, the Armenian Apostolic Church dioceses around the world provide regular assistance to the Armenians of Syria, to surmount the difficult conditions, states the Information System of the Mother See.  

On the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin transferred $100,000 to the Armenian Diocese of Damascus, to take care of the needs of the Armenian schools in Syria.
