YEREVAN. – Armenia plans to prepare agreement on accession to Customs Union in the coming months, PM Tigran Sargsyan said.

The agreement on Armenia’s membership to Customs Union (CU) is expected to be ready by May, Sargsyan said. Twenty-two working groups involving the best experts are involved in preparation of the document.

“It is not a coincidence that our colleagues from CU appreciated the work done by the Armenian team. This means that we should not underestimate our experts. It is an insult not only to the Prime Minister, the authorities but the experts themselves,” he said.

Premier Sargsyan said if the parties agree on all sensitive issues, the document will be submitted for ratification to the parliaments of four countries in June.

Roadmap on Armenia’s joining the Customs Union was adopted at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 24.
