New round of expert-level talks between Iran and six powers will take place in Geneva on December 30, said spokeswoman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

The talks between Iran and six world powers – the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and German – were halted on Sunday.

Earlier Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the talks are aimed at developing mechanisms to implement a deal earlier reached in Geneva.
