Belgian senate adopted resolution expressing concern over the state of human rights in Russia. However, the document lacks a point on support for boycotting Sochi Olympics.

The members of Green party proposed to boycott the opening of Olympic Games. They called on the Belgian Olympic Committee to put the calls to respect human rights, in particular rights of sexual minorities, on the kit of Belgian athletes, Interfax reported.

Most senators referred to Belgian FM’s statement saying Belgium has no tradition of sending delegations to the ceremonies of Winter Olympics.
