YEREVAN. – A total of 277 calls were recorded from December 31, 2013 to January 8, 2014. 

A total of 105 of these calls were on fires, 66 were on waterline damages, 15 were on car accidents, one was on an explosion, 2 were on suicide attempts, 5 were on the discovery of dead bodies, 13 were on poisoning cases, and 125 were on domestic cases. 

Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations Crisis Management Center Director Hovhannes Khangeldyan stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Friday.  

In Khangeldyan’s words, the above-said incidents claimed 12 lives, 6 of which in car accidents, one from an explosion, and 5 dead bodies were found.
