YEREVAN. – A service investigation is commissioned into the case of military serviceman Mher Khlghatyan, who was transferred to the Armenian MOD Central Garrison Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan.      

Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Hovhannisyan informed that, during his tour of the border, Ohanyan on Monday also visited Khlghatyan’s military unit, he got acquainted with the details of the incident, gave strict instructions, and commissioned to carry out a service investigation and to clarify and oversee the situation.

The press secretary stressed that the situation is under the direct supervision of the minister. 

Conscript, new recruit Mher Khlghatyan, 18, was transferred to the MOD Central Garrison Military Hospital, on Monday at round 2:10am, with bilateral pneumonia and injuries. The MOD Investigation Service opened a criminal case on the fact, a forensic medical examination is commissioned, and an investigation is underway.
