Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen spoke about necessity to resolve Karabakh conflict by peaceful means.

“The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan must be restored,” said Iranian ambassador, APA reports quoting Iranian media.

The Ambassador said that Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved peacefully within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan: “Iran considers that failure in the settlement of Karabakh conflict is a threat to the security of the region. Continuation of this conflict will cause problems not only for the security of the region, but also creates large obstacles for major economic projects and cooperation. Therefore, the Karabakh conflict should be resolved as soon as possible.”

It should be noted that Iranian ambassadors to Armenia as a rule refrain from indicating principles of the Karabakh conflict settlement, telling only about readiness to promote peace.
