Armenian church will receive funding from the Georgian government, PM Irakli Garibashvili said.

In addition to the Georgian Orthodox Church, other four religious communities – Armenian, Catholic, Muslim and Jewish – will receive financial aid from the government.

Garibashvili dismissed reports about alleged facts of conflict escalation on religious ground.

“We respect all religions, and evidence of this is the fact that now we are considering the issue of public funding to four religious commonalities in addition to the Orthodox church,” he said.
