The members of Turkey’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) were attacked during the official opening of their election campaign office in an Istanbul district.    

At the event, the MHP members had begun to argue with some persons who are yet unidentified, Radikal daily of Turkey reports. 

Subsequently, the aforesaid persons attacked on the party members with knives, sticks, and guns.  

As a result, MHP member Cengiz Yucel was killed, two people were wounded by the gunshots, and four others were injured by knives and stones.   

Afterward, the police informed that four people, who are suspected of assault, were detained.
