Yezidi community of Armenia struggled along with Armenians to defend the borders of our homeland, says the statement issued by Sinjar union on the occasion of the Army Day.

“This day is a real holiday for all citizens of Armenia, as the Armenian army is ensuring our security. To build this army, our brothers and sisters scarified their lives and did everything for us to live in secure borders,” the statement reads.

They recalled that Yezidis made a contribution to army building. One of the liberators was Surik Arab.

“We fought together and now stand together at the borders,” the statement reads.
