YEREVAN. – Active work and cooperation with Georgia must become one of the priority directions for Armenia’s foreign policy in the coming months, political analyst Sergey Minasyan said.

He recalled that new Georgian PM Irakly Garibashvili stated his country plans to sign Association Agreement with EU by August. This is a great opportunity for Armenia, as European economic and political sphere will be on the other side of the border with Armenia.

“If Armenia joins Customs Union, Georgia will become the main communication border linking Armenia with the rest CU states,” expert noted.

Armenia has time to find solution to technical problems before Georgia signs Association Agreement and Armenia joins Customs Union.
