The command of the Russian military base in Armenia decided to open a military history museum in Gyumri city.  

The museum is being set up at the historical Great Fortress, which was built in the 18th century, informs the press service of the Southern Military Okrug (District) of the Russian Federation Armed Forces.

The museum is expected to have two galleries, which will display items ever since the establishment of Armenian-Russian relations, in the 18th century, to this day.
