YEREVAN. – Cinema Star, cinema located in Armenian capital city Yerevan, decided to refuse from screening Nymphomaniac by Lars von Trier.

The premier was planned for February 13 simultaneously with international premiere of the scandalous movie.

The statement issued by the cinema leadership said the decision was made taking into account numerous complains received from the citizens and NGOs that expressed doubt on whether screening of the movie in Armenia is expedient. However, the statement did not indicate who exactly opposed screening of the film.
