An earthquake was recorded in Azerbaijan on Thursday morning.

A magnitude-3.4 underground shaking was registered at 10:30am, local time, in Lerik Region, the Republican Meteorological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences informed Trend news agency of Azerbaijan.

The hypocenter of the earthquake was 22 kilometers beneath the surface.

The City of Lerik is in the southern area of Azerbaijan, and it is 325 kilometers away from capital city Baku.
