YEREVAN. – In the lead-up to World Water Day which is observed on March 22, a seminar entitled “Water and Energy” was convened at the Geological Museum of Armenia, the museum directorate informs.    

Presentations were delivered at the event and, subsequently, a discussion session was conducted among those in attendance.  

World Water Day has been observed worldwide on March 22 since 1993 when the United Nations General Assembly declared that day as “World Day for Water.”

The objective of this campaign is to raise public awareness toward the importance of fresh water, and the sustainable management of fresh water resources.
