Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko warned Belarus officials against taking bribes, citing Ukraine as an example for drawing conclusions. 

“The collapse in Ukraine was caused by the economic collapse and rampant corruption. These are the two reasons that destroyed the country,” BELTA quotes the president.

He urged officials and company chiefs to draw some valuable lessons from the events in Ukraine and prevent any manifestations of corruption.

Earlier Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey said corruption “played one of the leading roles in Ukrainian crisis”.
