STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

The monitoring will be held on Wednesday, in the Askeran direction near Bash Karvend village, the NKR MFA press service reported. 

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring will be conducted by Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office; his Field Assistant Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic); and by Andrey Barashkin (Russia), representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group (HLPG).

The NKR authorities have expressed their readiness to assist in conducting the monitoring and to ensure the security of the OSCE Mission members.
