Terrorist groups attacked in the direction of Syria’s primarily Armenian-populated town of Kessab, which is located near the border with Turkey.  

In the early morning on Friday, detachments from the Al-Nusra terrorist group launched a large-scale attack, from four sides, on northern Syria’s Latakia Governorate, which is inhabited by Armenians and Alawites, Gercekgundem website of Turkey reported.

It is noted that two large groups of terrorists had launched the attack from Turkey.

The Turkish website also informed that the Syrian government troops managed to drive back the terrorist attacks.
