YEREVAN. – Eurasian Union is a real macroeconomic alliance of the countries' economies that enables to reach higher level of integration, Armenian ruling party MP said.

Hayk Babukhanyan said after breaking gentlemen's agreement on NATO's not approaching Russia's borders, the emphasis in the world politics has been shifted. Under these circumstances, the MP belives it is clear that Russia and allies could not stay indifferent.

“Armenia has always tried to have friendly relations with Russia, our main ally, and with western states with which we continue cooperation,” he said.

By joining Eurasian Union, the MP said Armenia solves the issue of civilized integration processes.

“For Armenia, integration with Russia has also civilizational value. The values ​​that we are preaching must be protected,” he said.

Babukhanyan added that democracy must develop and double standards that are unfortunately displayed must be stopped at some point.
