STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

The monitoring was held on Wednesday, and in the Hadrut direction near Horadiz settlement.

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria) and Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic), field assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the NKR MFA press service informed.

From the opposite side of the line of contact, the monitoring was held by Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine), field assistant of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and Office staff member Peter Svedberg.

The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule, but the Azerbaijani side did not take the OSCE Mission to their frontlines.  

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives from the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
