YEREVAN. – The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) issued a statement in connection with the recent political developments.

“Thanks to the ultimatum presented by four non-coalition political parties – Prosperous Armenia, ANC, ARF and Heritage – Serzh Sargsyan was urged to force PM Tigran Sargsyan to resign”, ANC said in a statement.

As to the appointment of a new PM,  ANC believes Republican majority headed by President Sargsyan is responsible for failures of the government.

The opposition party said they do not have to wait for the program of government to make assessment.

“Armenia's illegitimate leadership is not capable of implementing any program,” the statement reads. “Therefore, we do believe the main task of four non-coalition opposition forces is to oust Serzh Sargsyan's regime from power”.

ANC reiterated its commitment and readiness to work with the three parties.
