During the first quarter of the current year, the Russian Federation border protection units in Armenia have exposed more than four-hundred people with false documents at Armenia’s state border checkpoints, and over ninety of them were not allowed to cross the border.

Also, a more than 7-million-drams (approx. $16,905) worth smuggling attempt was revealed at Agarak checkpoint, the Border Protection Department press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

In addition, more than ten cold weapons were found. 

The Armenian National Security Council and the Police have been informed of all the attempts to transfer prohibited items through Armenia’s borders.
