STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan, together with Russian-Armenian philanthropist Nikolai Sarkisov, on Friday visited the construction site of the No.1 Secondary School’s new building in capital city Stepanakert.

The President expressed gratitude to Sarkisov for funding such an important project, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

He noted that education and science are among the key directions of NKR’s development and, in this context, he underscored the existence—in Artsakh—of educational institutions that meet international standards.

Sahakyan was accompanied by Education and Science Minister Slava Asryan, Urban Development Minister Karen Shahramanyan, and several other officials.
