Following Turkey PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s address to the Armenians ahead of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, it is planned to grant Turkish citizenship to the progenies of the Genocide survivors.

The above-said matter is on the agenda of the Turkish authorities, reported Hürriyet daily of Turkey.

It is noted that Erdogan is working on a new step whose idea was raised this January, and at a conference organized by the Ankara Freedom to Thought Initiative.

The said proposal was forwarded to the Turkish MFA and, subsequently, it was learned that the MFA had a positive view on this matter, and it is conducting respective activities.
