YEREVAN. – U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern tried to shear a sheep during the Sheep Shearing Festival in Syunik Region of Armenia.

Ambassador Heffern said he had never participated in such events, but decided to try. With the help of a specialist, Ambassador tried to shear a sheep.

Ambassador said he had visited Syunik Region several times and is happy to come here again.

The Homeland Development Initiative is organizing such events throughout Armenia, and it is very important, he noted.
