Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muiznieks is worried by detention and confiscation of materials of French journalists in Azerbaijan.

He said this incident was another blow to press freedom and human rights in Azerbaijan.

French reporter Laurent Richard and his cameraman were detained at Baku airport and were deported from the country.

The journalists wanted to prepare several reports following Francois Hollande's visit to Azerbaijan. However, they were detained by Azerbaijani law enforcers, and their materials were confiscated.
