Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly (PAP NA) Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan, who is also Chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration, on Monday received British Ambassador Katherine (Kathy) Leach.

The ambassador was interested in the agenda of the development of Armenia-European Union (EU) relations.

Zohrabyan presented Armenia’s domestic political situation and spoke about the country’s Eurasian economic integration process and Armenia-EU relations. She expressed the hope that everything will be done to dynamically continue the Armenia-EU agenda.

Ambassador Leach, for her part, welcomed PAP’s membership in the European Conservatives and Reformists Party and expressed the hope that the more number of Armenian political parties join the European family, the Armenia-EU agenda will benefit that much more.

The interlocutors also conferred on the activities and future courses of action by the four non-governmental NA factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage), and reflected on the amendments that are made in several Armenian laws and the concept for constitutional reforms.
