The Department of Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MFA RF) has issued a message with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

“Bellicose rhetoric is not conducive to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. On the contrary, it complicates the resolution. This is the shared position of the [OSCE Minsk Group] co-chairing countries [Russia, US, and France].

“In the joint statement, which the Russian, US and French presidents made last year in Lough Erne [, Northern Ireland], the leaders of the parties are called on to prepare the people for peace, not war.    

“We assume that such an approach will prevail. In this connection, we are full of hope that the direct dialogue between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will continue, as they had agreed upon at the end of the year past in Vienna,” the RF MFA statement specifically reads.
