YEREVAN. – NATO respects Armenia's  policy of complementarity, Despina Afentouli from NATO Public Diplomacy Division’s Engagements Section said in Yerevan.

Asked whether Armenia's membership in CSTO is an obstacle for development of ties with NATO, Afentouli recalled that the Alliance leadership had stated they respect Armenia's policy of complementarity.

NATO's cooperation with Armenia continues, and membership in other unions or relations with other countries are not an obstacle, she said during a press conference on Thursday.

As to Armenia's intention to join Customs Union, Despina Afentouli said it is not an obstacle, too. She assured it is not a problem of NATO, at least this has not affected any partner project.
