Armenia’s Armavir city Mayor Ruben Khlghhatyan was injured Tuesday as a result of a vehicle explosion in a mined area in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), and he is being transported on a helicopter to Erebuni Medical Center in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.   

According to initial data, one person died and three others sustained injuries as a result of the explosion, the Armenian News-NEWS.am learned from the NKR Ministry of Health news service. Khlghhatyan is among the injured. 

The NKR Government is taking all necessary measures so that the injured are transported to Erebuni Medical Center quickly and efficiently.

We were not informed about the Armavir mayor’s health condition, but told that the injured will arrive in Yerevan in about two hours.
