YEREVAN. – The first post-vacation meeting of the four non-government National Assembly (NA) factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) is slated for August 20, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“We were told about this by a representative of the [parliamentary] four.

“According to the same source, even though the four had promised a hot autumn, tensions are not expected in fall.

“At least, the four are not going to demand a resignation of either the government or [President] Serzh Sargsyan. The four’s demand for an early NA elections likewise is ruled out.

“The four’s activities will focus primarily on the twelve points [which they] presented to the authorities, and the non-government [forces] represented in the parliament have serious disagreements neither with the PM nor Serzh Sargsyan,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
