YEREVAN. – Urban Development Minister of Armenia, Narek Sargsyan, received Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reisi, informed the Urban Development Ministry press service.

The ambassador noted that even though there were clearly defined provisions within the framework of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commissions, and for cooperation between the two countries in the domain of urban development, excellent results have not yet been recorded in this context.

Sargsyan, for his part, noted that the cooperation will yield results solely if there are mutual interests. He specifically underscored the need for cooperation in the domain of new construction technologies. He expressed confidence that, shortly thereafter, there will be specific projects in terms of investments, science, education, and new technologies.

Separately, Ambassador Reisi conveyed the Iranian Roads and Urban Development minister’s greetings to Narek Sargsyan, and stressed Iran’s willingness to collaborate in the domain of urban development.
